Feasting with the Saints – November (Digital Download)

This November, we enter the final stretch of the Season after Pentecost, moving gently toward Advent’s quiet expectation. Throughout the month, the Church honors a rich tapestry of saints—apostles, martyrs, mystics, kings, queens, virgins, missionaries, and heroic confessors—across 29 feast days that uplift our hearts and anchor our homes in grace. At the forefront stand the great solemnities of All Saints and All Souls, inviting us to rejoice with the Church Triumphant and to pray fervently for the Church Suffering.

All recipes in this booklet follow the traditional pre-1955 fasting and abstinence guidelines, should you wish to observe them: meatless Fridays, penitential simplicity on appointed days, and wholesome meals that are both comforting and reverent.

What is Feasting with the Saints?

Feasting with the Saints is a collection of 12 booklets (one for each month), journeying through a full year of our Pre-1955 liturgical Roman Catholic calendar. Celebrate the Saints and their feast days through the simple joy of home cooked meals, with carefully curated recipes that reflect the lessons of their lives and works. This March, prepare for Lent in new ways, and reflect on 19 feasts and lives of numerous saints and martyrs celebrated this month. Across this collection, all recipes will adhere to the pre-1955 guidelines for fasting/abstinence, should you wish to follow them. Each recipe is accompanied by a full page of enriching reading, designed for busy mums, homemakers, grandmas and single ladies, to enjoy and reflect upon while they lovingly prepare these dishes for those that they love.
